Seems pricey $6,000 plus shipping but people will probably still buy stuff from Hennessey but not this guy. You can do the same thing as Hennessey for far less money.

Their supercharged upgrade is looking VERY, VERY tempting! I think my life will get harder once Chevy announces the "ZL1" assuming it'll have the LT4 and starts at 60k... lol. Instead of upgrading to a ZL1, I could just grab the Hennesey package and keep the #1 production vehicle haha.

Any one else feel for 6k getting air filter, headers, mid pipe and tune is a little much? Does the stickers and plaques really make up the $3k in difference of price? Or the warranty for 36k miles?
Very interesting for us already planning on a air intake and headers in the future though. EDIT: Sorry forget the oil change, floor mats, and 1/2 tank of gas. lol |

Not worth $6,000. That's some sort of joke. The HPE 500 package is no longer impressive when you're starting with a car that makes 455 HP stock. A few minor upgrades in combination will get you to the 500 HP club easily for a lot less, possibly even without voiding the factory warranty. |

Nice power increase. What was the most limiting part/s?

I think that it is JUST a bit too much, but not by a lot of money,5 years ago I paid $2300 for my kook's l/tubes w/hi flo cats and their 3" exaust set up,dont remember how much it cost me to have dyno tuned, but I paid like $300-400 for the tuner itself, paid $400 for my cai,...since these mods I have also added a mild cam and another tune, but not dyno'd since headers/exaust and cam,so I am not positive what it puts to the ground, but, before cam, headers and exaust,it dyno'd at 414 to wheels,

Name sells, there are probably going to be plenty of people who saw in magazines the HPE Vipers putting down some insane power.
I think it shows how capable the LT1 engine is with so little mods needed to break 500BHP for the thing. |

I hope anybody that considers this does a little research first, just speaking his name over in the alley will get you banned from the forum.

But yeah. I also think that $6K is a little too high compared to what you get. If the numbers he lists were to the wheels that would be a different story. Quote:

Collectible? Maybe... Worth it? Only time will tell. John's company has a reputation for getting into lawsuits and trouble with his consumers. I can only hope he has "righted" the ship and is taking care of the customers now.

We already know the front clip is different, and some aero - probably going to come standard with the 6 piston upgrade, which is $3k by itself. Maybe dry sump? etc. But I can't argue with those who get the SS and aftermarket upgrade, certainly a completely valid way to go. Calaway's SC upgrade package is like $17K, So if a ZL1 comes in at $60K, I think ZL1 is a better way to go.
