Is this a wrap or are you molding the carbon fiber from the panels and creating your own carbon fiber panels?

that first piece is 100% carbon fiber, i molded the CF around the panel to make my own. That second one is going to be the same process...molding around stock piece, then popping it out and re-inforcing it with more CF

in the future if any friends ask me to help them with theirs, ill prob just wrap them, bc making complete panels is mega time intensive, and wastes a ton of CF...

Have you considered reinforcing with fiberglass? May be a more cost effective means than reinforcing with cf...just an idea

OMG that looks amazing. Have you ever thought of making this as a mass production ???
I would want to buy those panels that you made.

I am considering that as a option, the resin and fiberglass is cheaper then carbon fiber

I don't know about mass production, I for sure don't mind doing some for people, but doubt i'd make a business out of it.

Are you kidding ??
I would buy when money becomes available.
I have a CF bowtie like that. It would be really good if my interior is like that as well. Trust me if you were to decide to go to business you will make $$$
Not a lot of CF for interior parts. The exterior they are places left and right.
but not interior parts. And if they are they are hydro-dipped.

I 95% sure i can make a better bowtie than that one too :p it's okay, but a thicker layer of resin, finer sand paper when sanding it, and some wax when its done, and it would shine like glass

Started saying the dash piece down, sanding it down to get some of the rough edges off, tossing one more layers resin when I'm done, and then ill start the final sanding and trimming

before sanding:

during sanding:

The point of sanding it is to get to smooth, those shiny spots are low spots that i have to sand until they disappear. Im not worries about those on the edges since this piece has zero room for wrap around from the CF, so I'm going to dremel that section off. But the face of the piece must be smooth

Not Camaro related, but decided to work a bit more on my Solstices engine cover. Clear coated it, will need another few layers, then sanding and waxing

Now to something that is Camaro related, Threw the last layer of resin on, will do some sanding tomorrow, clear coat and it will be done

How did you get the first piece to stay in the dash? did you make custom CF tabs? confused.
