Just want to say, thanks to everyone for posting. Mine started making the clunk noice after hitting a pothole. Immediately I thought something had broken but found this thread and was given a peace of mind. I went straight to the drivers side swaybar link and sure enough it was loose. I will try JusticePete's suggestion. We don't live in a perfect world I guess.

Just found I have this issue as well. The noise started during, and after an autoX event. Just 1500 miles on the car. Dealer is replacing the links, so they must have gotten some damage to the threads. The noise was the loudest front end clunk I've ever heard. Made me think something was going to come loose and break off of the car, but it still drove ok so I wasn't too worried.

I have a fair bit of experience working with BMR stuff, so if I have any more issues I'm definitely going to upgrade the links!

Iv got a 2017 2SS and mine started today. Found this thread and took both front wheels off to check. Drivers side front sway bar end-link was loose on the bottom. The other 3 bolts on the front were fine. Thanks guys for the post

My 2017 ZL1 started clunking at just over 6K miles. Turns out the upper right sway bar link was only hand tight! Thanks for the thread!! I would think there would be a more proactive reach out on this by Chevy.

Red LocTite and Nordloc washers are your new best friends.

when I got my 2018 zl1 that's one of the first things we checked was the sway bar links and sure enough mine was not tight either with 3 miles on it right off the car carrier had the dealer fix it no other problems so far.

Red LocTite? Will you be able to get it loose when needed?

I took Pete's suggestion and got the NordLoc but no LocTite. So far so good. No rattling. Thank you Pete!

This seems strange to me. It appears most are stating this will repeatedly break loose, and the GM bulletin is simply re-tighetning it, which is just a bandaid on the symptom versus fixing the issue. So it's GMs intent to simply re-tighten this thing until the warranty expires or what?

How do you fit the 18mm socket on with the 6mm Allen key in the way holding the stud?
