How long will V8 SS engines last?

I purchased a new 2015 Camaro SS with the 6 speed manual in Feb/2015. I love the car & everything about it. I do all the regular maintenance on it, changed the spark plugs earlier than required, clean the injectors every year, & run Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic 5W30 oil.

However, I have racked up 55,000 miles (89,000k) & I am wondering, how many miles do you guys estimate we will be able to get out of these cars with regular maintenance?

Thanks!

I've seen a few people with 100k+ on them, i really can see it lasting 200k+ miles easily if you keep up maintaining it, treat it good and i'm sure it will do the same back to you

Oh, it'll hit 200k easily I'm sure.

I bought mine with 68k on it, now has 82k. I've seen someone on here with something close to 160k if I recall correctly. Just keep up with it and treat it right, you'll be set! Not to mention, it will still look new. I get asked frequently what year mine is and everyone is always surprised when they learn it's a 2010 haha

as others have pointed out it depends on how you treat your car.beat on it hard, neglect oil changes, etc. and the best car wont last.treat it well and maintain it,200,000 miles easily.

Ls motors are notoriously reliable. Good maintance and all, not unheard of for them to runwell over 200k

There are a few half million mile LS1's floating around out there so I imagine the LS3 has the same capability

Thankfully these things aren’t 4 cylinder engines. Basically they should run for practically forever with proper maintenance and no excessive abuse. There was a guy the other day that said his 2010 has 192,000 miles on it and it still runs great. With the way you’re maintaining your vehicle, shy of an unforeseen catastrophic failure, you should easily hit 200k+.

They will keep rolling as long as you are willing to maintain them. I've seen several +300K LS engines, so that will tell you that a million miles isn't so ficticious.

I am thinking it will depend on a number of factors; make sure she has a yearly physical, take all meds are prescribed, when the doctor or the police say "stop", well you might want to stop! If you don't lend your girl out to every tom dick and harry she might last a good long time. Enjoy her while she is young and she will give you many memories when she too become old.

check out ( power and speed ) pod cast episode 131 they talk about the ls3 and how well it lasts in endurance races and I would say that shows the longevity of this engine.
