Will they put the LT1 engine in the 6th Gen Camaro?

They put the LS3 in the 5th Gen... seems it would make sense. Thoughts?

if it's not the LT1 engine it will be something close, like the l99 or the l92 in trucks are similar to an ls3

Of course they will. The LT1 will be the mass market powerplant similar to the LS1 and now LS3.

After spending 100's of millions to design, market, and produce it they would be crazy not to..that power plant will be around for at least another 8-10yrs i would guess.

Gen V small block will be replacing all of the Gen IVs in the regular roll out. Starting with the Trucks and C7. Would be very doubtful they would keep tooling etc. rolling along for a few Camaros.

YES, and IF they can drop 300 lbs off the 2016 it will be an awesome Camaro.

I will be very surprised if the LT1 is not in the next Camaro.

It had better be in it. If GM wants the best performance they will put that engine in the Camaro. The engine is a leap frog in performance over the LS3 and 5.0, and especially potential performance with simple bolt ons and a tune.

I hate to be always defending Ford, but I'd put it pretty darn close with the 5.0.

Head flow numbers etc. It's tough to compare a smaller displacement 4 cam motor against a larger displacement pushrod and claim who is more efficient, but both are getting damn good performance figures in stock form and aftermarket mod for mod.
