Yep in this video (@slick3 btw) NLS functions exactly the same as it does in my original post. You can hear the RPMs fall when NLS is active between gears.
If your RPMs go up between gears, NLS is not working as described. If you think your RPMs stay the same between gears, try shifting at 6100, use NLS, but don't let the clutch out immediately in the next gear. I'll try to do another test like that today with the PDR.

I'd love to if I had better tires. Else the top of third gear is the only option. What is the minimum shift RPM to engage NLS?

All good questions. I have yet to do it. personally I won't do it until someone else who has been tuned by HP tuners IE: Maggie. Sounds kinda selfish but............

I think I've done it just shy of 6k but I would aim to be above 6k just to be sure.
