Talked to dealer regarding base v6

2016 Camaro
MSRP: $29795
Selling price: $22343

Only options are v6 and auto.

Do you think this is a good price? The dealer told me that the bonus tag for leasing is only $500 not the full 20% off if I purchased along with their discount. Can anyone confirm that is the case? Doesn't the dealer get fully reimbursed for the 20%?

That's a great deal. The only thing I would say is don't settle if it's not exactly what you want.

I think it's a very good price, provided that's the car you want. I love my base V6, though mine has the M6 transmission.

You're basically looking at stripped Accord/higher-end Civic coupe money for hardware that Cadillac sells for $50k.

The lease versus buy effect on the tag sounds strange to me, but I'm not in the know.

Yeah I'm not sure why the bonus tag is only $500 for leasing. Hopefully someone here knows. Is that the dealer not being informed or them just not complying with the rebate?

I paid 27 for mine. Base with a V6 and manual transmission. On the V6 you only get the limited slip differential if you get a manual. It is not available with the Automatic.

I'd say that's a good deal for an automatic... I picked up a base v6 manual last Wednesday for $21,999

Agreed. there is no such thing as a good deal on the wrong car. But that is a good price, and from what I've seen, the Gen 6 comes pretty well equipped at the base level.

Last friday I found my dad a new 2016 2LT with V6 auto , sunroof, Garnet red ($395 option), including the 8" navi , and RS package for $28,616... sticker was $37,936 ...He bought it and is thrilled!!

There are deals if you look hard enough. I spent 3 days searching online every dealership within a 3 hour drive to find it.

That is a wonderful deal. Mine is equipped the same and bought it (in July) for $25,795. I'd jump on that, if it's what you want, in a heartbeat.

It can be leased through Ally, you can not go through Gm Financial with the 20%

I leased my auto V6 RS 1Lt for around 29k. Best car I have ever owned, I have had over 7 Camaros since I was 17. that was 1978.
