Borla vs MRT axle back

Hey guys. I'm ordering an axle back exhaust for me Lfx . Thought I was set for the mrt2 but at $649 I started considering the Borla stainless for $619 or the Borla touring for $617. Looking for some opinions and experiences with these systems and even others in the same price range. I'm looking for a nice deeper sound and not much rasp if possible. Thanks in advance! I gotta do something by Monday at the latest

Magnaflow resonated x-pipe and a muffler delete. total cost is about 200 bucks or less having a shop do it.

I have the BORLA Touring Catback. I also have the BORLA Side Exit Exhaust, Way too loud. Most people will say MRTv2.... I like BORLA because it's Stainless Steel and the mufflers are interchangeable with the Catback pipes, if you don't like the Touring you can switch to the S Type or the ATAK which are louder. You can get the Catback Pipes on AMAZON for about $400, I bought my system separately, $600 for the mufflers, $400 for the pipes, saving about $300 compared to buying the complete system. If you go BORLA, get the V-8 version, IT WILL FIT! The V-8 versions of all of BORLA's mufflers have Bigger Tips, and guys Love Big Tips.

Would the Solo Axle back or any other V8 axle back fit on the V6?

theres numerous options to be honest... pick a muffler company and take the muffler (x2) to any exhaust shop and have em fab you up an axleback. mrtv2, I have... I'm ok with it, just not fully my style.

one thing I have learned, you will never get the full sound and effect from listening through a cell phone, or computer speakers. most vids aren't recorded in HD as most cams and phones have standard mics... and most speakers for computers aren't super high end.

best bet, meet a couple of locals and listen in person. in almost any video you will hear a point where the cam, or your speakers reach their limit and the sound will be muffled.

but outside of the ready made kits, really, you are limitless when you go custom. and the most important factor....any exhaust can be tuned to alter sound...

Any idea if other V8 axle backs would work on a V6

I have the mrtv2.0 with cai intake and I think it's the 2nd best v6 I've personally heard with the exception being a guy with an llt with headers and mrt exhaust. I don't think u can go wrong with borla or mrt but I would stick with v6 specific exhausts. If you get the v8 exhaust you could end up with more rasp than you may want. Of course this is all opinion.

Even if they were different, wouldn't a V-8 muffler make a V-6 quieter?

I tried listening to everything through on my phone, computer, headphones before I bought my exhaust. I considered borla becuase the atak to me sounds great however there wasn't much on you tube besides the official borla video for me to listen too. A ton of people recommend the mrt v2 and I can see why ! It's louder than stock at idle and crusing but get on it and it opens up nicely and sounds mean! I however wanted something a bit louder than that at idle and more agressive. So I opted for the mrt v1 exhaust which is about the same at WOT I'm told. Mine has a tad drone at 2500 rpm but it'll only irritate the most sensitive person. After installing my MRT v1 exhaust the Mechanic at the shop(it's a porshe & Bmw place) was impressed with the quality of the system and the sound! Really woke the v6 up!

The v1 one is nice but I'm not really looking for the loudest. Just a nice deep growl
