I think we should simply close down the Camaro6 forum .... I mean after all 9.6 @140 just made all Camaros, Corvettes, GT3's etc. obsolete! Sorry guys, this world belongs to Dodge!

I kid of course.

Just lurking but you realize that most all of the current track cars have high rise fixed wings like the 1LE right?

ie:

- Porsche GT3/GT3RS/GT2RS/GT4
- Mercedes AMG GT R
- BMW M4 GTS
- Mustang GT350R
- Viper ACR

It's pretty much a requirement for a high downforce/low drag setup. It's the main reason the new ZR1 will have a high rise wing instead of the lip spoiler the Z06 has.

The Demon is not a realistic "street car". That thing uses 100 octane and was banned by NHRA - to race at a track the owner will need to add safety features (likely a cage, which shouldn't be that hard as there is only one seat) and have a special license... That's a lot of hassle for a car with two years of hype, wonder how many will end up wrapped around power poles?
Having said that 900 horses is a lot of power but I wonder how it would fair against a COPO Camaro??

Everyone is so used to seeing big rear spoilers/wings on cars that they have no functionality whatsoever that ones mind automatically associates it with a honda civic with a coffee can tail pipe.

Thankfully, there's not. That wing is part of what makes this car go fast...all 300lbs of downforce behind it.
