Honestly, I'm not hoping for a gen 2 remake in 2015. But we shall see.

I was never one and still stand by my words as someone who was for retroing a car 100% like the Chally.
Why would Gm want to bring back a Car and make it look just like the 1st gen? That car already did its job. I Love the 5thgen and mine sits right next to my 1stgen and the smile gets larger and larger everytime I look at them both. Gm took a New platform added a little flavoring of a 1stgen but very much so gave the 5thgen Todays Spice If the 6thgen takes some after the 2nd that will be fine however lets keep up the idea of moving Fwd rather than moving backwards. |

To be honest, I am not sure how they can make this car any better.

We may be in the 'heyday' of the V8, and the issue isn't the government. Its fossil fuels. We don't have an unlimited supply, eventually we have to move to something else. That's why I really don't get the folks who say, "It's not a Camaro without the V8." It just sounds like Cro-magnon thinking. |

Most likely I think the will stay on track with current ideas. With the 5th generation, they based it off how they think it would have progressed from the 1st gen keeping major looks and ideas the same. Like Porsche, kept the same body shape, but progressed.

2nd gen retro would be cool, but only if they did it right. The 70-73 Camaros are one of the best looking cars ever made.

Funny because growing up, I was always a huge Camaro fan and the the first four cars I had were Camaros, a 74, 82, 89, and 91. When the 4th Gens came out, I hated them. I still hate them. I think 4th gens died because GM lost a lot of loyal Camaro buyers. |

How U Doin?

Highly doubtful that it will be modeled after the 2nd Gen. It will be lighter since it is moving to the Alpha platform, and I feel they will just try to build off the success of the 5th Gen with some minor tweaks to the lines and styling.

After reading some of the posts here I think I need to put my tinfoil hat back on.

I doubt you will see any super radical changes other than the size since if will be built on s much smaller platform. Think about the Mustang. Has it changed THAT much since the first retro redesign back in 2005? They have a design people love and hopefully they stick with it. If anything they will probably do what Mustang did where they started with something very retro and slowly started making it less and less inspired by the old models which is why I am glad I got this version.

I'd like to see the car go more corvette looking, similar to when the C5 was out and the 4th gen. It was almost like a Vette with a backseat...upgrade the interior to a full modern interior with nav screen, etc...but thats just me. I can also appreciate the current retro like design.

In terms of gen 6, if they're not going for an evolved gen 5 look, I wouldn't mind an entirely original design. The only problem with the latter is that it could totally backfire and end up being a complete flop, but I guess that's why we have concepts, right?
