NPP exhaust axle back

I can't decide on whether or not to clamp the cut off axle back npp exhaust on or weld it. I hear people have problem with the leaks but others say to clamp it. Others say weld. Please help me decide. I am in between since clamps are cheaper yet the weld is $100. Thanks guys.

Just clamp it on. I had full tsp exhaust mated to the factory npp with clamps. I had no problems.
