Goodbye Camaro5

I just wanted to say so long tyo everyone and I appreciate all the helpful advice that people have given over the last few years. I'll probably receive a lot of hate for this but I traded my 14 SS in a few weeks back on a 16 mustang ecoboost premium with the performance pack. Yes it's a 4 cyl but my camaro especially being my daily was taking all of my money! The camaro was worse than the Mrs. To be honest!! I loved my camaro but it was time to let someone else enjoy her. Once again thank you all! This has been an extremely helpful and entertaining site!

Just because you had the need to switch cars doesn't mean that you can't stop by and holler at us from time to time and especially share the horror stories coming with that thing you got...lol

Why was your Camaro taking all your money? Was it that bad on gas?

I'm not ready to make any kind of move yet, but I've thought about doing the same thing at some point in the future. All my driving is city, and I'm getting tired of 14 mpg. Tell us about the Ecoboost.

Congratulations on the new ride. Your Camaro looks like it was in Pristine condition - the new owner is going to be very happy with that car. Be interesting to see your actual fuel cost savings after a year; having a 4 cylinder engine about 1/3 the size of the Camaro should show about $600 lower fuel expense going by numbers on Ford site? The Performance Pack gear ratio probably means on the highway the engine is turning a couple hundred RPMs faster, so may take a hit there (std ratio 3.15 to PP 3.55)?

The difference in savings would pay for 3 months of my Time Warner Bill but then I'd miss out on the fun factor too much in the Torque, short throw Tremec, and NPP exhaust notes - gurgle gurgle pop pop, lol. That is why i NEVER checked my gas mileage and try to avoid looking at the dollar reading on the gas station pump - turn my head the other way when hanging up the pump hose so I don't see the final tally!
I've got 4 vehicles and the only one I check the gas mileage on is the motorcycle because it does not have a gas gauge; must go by odometer reading on the trip meter to figure out when to refill the MC tank.
A big plus is the switch means you are helping the environment and double your forum friends when you also join the Mustang site!

If you can't afford to put gas in your car...it seems as if you potentially have bigger problems. Good luck.

huh...43 posts and how many years? are you sure you really like/could handle it? eyes wide open at time of purchase? and that is really sh!tty gas mileage...worse I get is 19 around town with some normal "right foot revenge".

And why turn to Found on Road Dead when the Gen 6 has 4cyl?

Not slammin, just curious...and you WILL HATE the loss of TQ...good luck!
