so, i just got a lexis nexis report for a car that the insurance went up 20 bucks a month.. for no reason. requested my report and low and behold 267 entries for quick acceleration hard braking and going too fast and it also has the distance and time.all on the 23 lt1..this is crap and i opted out when they signed me up! it is my data not theirs! this car wont move another inch till i figure out how to deactivate it for real..so the answer is yes..check your report and verify .. and if you have towing drop it and get aaa.. even the tows are a clim and go against your payment..

Has anyone here been driving with F20 fuse pulled? What is your experience with that driving condition?

So, just for shits and giggles, I installed the app on my phone this morning. It wants me to press the OnStar button and talk to an agent. So, does that mean I don't have an active account? Which, in theory, would mean that they are NOT gathering data from my ZL1

Would pulling the F20 fuse affect PDR if equipped?

What’s the batting average for us “conspiracy theorists” these days? About 95%, 96%…?

How does one go about getting this report for their car?

This thread definitely interested me, so I did a search and it seems there is a way to fix this - remove the OnStar circuit board completely.

After doing a search it looks like someone has done it and made a thread on it. Granted it looks like it's for older versions of the 6th gen with the OnStar buttons on the rear view mirror, not sure if this would still work on newer 6th gen models with OnStar buttons in the overhead console. But as I understand it, this is a way to completely remove OnStar and any capability of it to transmit any of your vehicle data, while still retaining your satellite radio and bluetooth microphone:

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...onstar+removal

In all honesty, I do not understand why GM insists on making OnStar standard on every vehicle when other companies still make their satellite communications optional. It should be optional and for those who do not want it, you don't even need to worry about "opting out" - your car simply doesn't have the hardware to do anything.

Remove fuses, remove main boards, wow, just opt out!
I never opted in when activating, I took delivery during covid, so dealer did not touch anything, and zero issues in 3+ years. No reports, no data being collected.

Those that have "reporting" issues, you are not actually opted out, or there would be NO reporting.

Disconnect and take apart anything you wish, but it is not necessary.......

Yep, I've been hating on Onstar for years, and I never even owned a GM product until this year. I just knew it was ripe for abuse, and it has been proven true. Of course, the sheeple that believe in the goodness of corporations loved to call us names over it, LOL.

As for my new SS, Onstar was never activated, and it never will be. I don't need or want any of their services.

I never purchased, set-up, or opted in to any plan at delivery, Onstar or otherwise. I have never touched the Onstar button in the car. Everytime they call and try to sell me Onstar, I decline.

Took delivery on 10/5/22 then a few days later, downloaded the myChevrolet app to check Smart Driver. There was detailed driving data displayed within the app. Car had 18 or so miles on it. Unenrolled/opted out of Smart Driver immediately.

I still get a monthly "Diagnostic" email from "vehiclediagnostics@onstar.com" that shows current mileage, air pressure in each tire, etc. States I have an Onstar plan (displays Account #) but with no data plan. Pics below are from email received 7/11/23.

GM/Onstar may not be harvesting "driving data" however car is still being monitored for other reasons.
