does it start fine now? as said, these alternators and gauge aren't like we're used to, they will show actual voltage of the battery, then show charge voltage when the battery needs a charge.
When I bought my 2018 in October, I was ready to panic on the 150mi drive home as I was seeing the same as you, I came home and did some research and sure enough, it's normal. |

So then all you're seeing now is the dual mode (battery / alternator) voltage gauge at work, as described in the manual and ctrlz's other post referenced above. As long as the displayed voltage drops to 12.5-12.7 V once the alternator is done charging it on a relatively longer drive, your battery is fully charged and working normally at that point.
If you still see sluggish cranking when (re)starting the engine shortly after a drive, there is another thread about sluggish warm/hot starts here, you might want to check it out: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=586153

It may not call for charging until the battery voltage dips, but I would think after 2 weeks on a new battery it should be calling for 14 V charging at some point. With no recharge the battery voltage will just steadily drop.
If any reliable meter connected directly to the battery is reading 12.0 V, that is VERY low state of charge. |

You might have the same problem I did last spring where the control board that is hooked to the ODB port under the driver's side dash was dying in my car and it kept cutting the electrical components of the car off while driving even after replacing the battery and verifying the alternator was fine. I replaced the board and that was it and haven't had a problem nearly a year since.

Mine also a 17' SS. I replaced my Battery 2 months ago. It was working fine, but with 68k miles a 6 years I wasn't going to chance it. Just a matter of time. Holy sh!t...hard to believe my car is 7 years old now. Still runs and looks like new.
