Terrible Glare on Kenwood Receiver

Hi All,

I have my 2012 vert and installed a pac dash kit with kenwood head unit. I am experiencing incredible glare where I can’t even see the screen. I believe there are anti glare screen covers you can buy. Is that the way to go or are there other solutions? Problem is the radio definitely leans upward toward the sun.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

How is there so much sunlight getting inside the car to cause a glare? You should be able to reposition the radio so it doesn't face up like that.

He has a convertible. I have the same problem in my convertible when the top is down.

Yep I have a convertible. Not sure I can reposition the radio to face more downward but I guess I could try. I think that’s just the natural angle of it with the pac kit.

Well I went ahead and bought a boxwave anti glare film for it. We’ll see how it works out. I’ll report back.

yeah didn't realize you have a convertible. I have the PAC kit with a sony radio, pretty much every aftermarket stereo has some adjustments you can do to position more forward and back, usually you can angle it downwards/upwards a bit as well but not too much

Yeah i didn’t see much of any ability to do so with the kenwood and supplied brackets unfortunately.

Also the boxwave didn’t do much of anything in direct sunlight.
