Does there car display elevation anywhere?

It does not display elevation. May I suggest the app "SkiTracks." It is only a couple of bucks to download and is a great app for among other things, checking elevation. I use it to record my ski-day(MPH, elevation, ascends, descends, and an overlay of your route on a satellite map.) It is GPS based and your phone doesn't need to have a signal for it to work. I use it often when drive in the Colorado Rockies just to check my Elevation at any given point on any road.

I use the same app to track my skiing. Works great!

If you have an iPhone, Vidgets has an altitude meter that works on the lock screen. You can add as many widgets as you want. There are a lot to choose from. Altimeter is not shown but can be added:

The Camaro NAV is very disappointing. I just use WAZE on my phone for everything. Finds where I'm going and helps me avoid the cops.
