high flow cats and 3" flowmaster cat back

Hey Padre,
thanks for helping me narrow it down.

Ok, so now Im wondering if I might risk losing low end torque on my L99, if I go ahead and add the high flow cats to my existing 3" cat back flowmaster. Everything else is stock. If it does cause low end torque loss, what mod would be best to get it back besides a tune?

what do you think?

One more thing, what does the 555r and 3200TC mean in your signature?

You'll gain torque, so no worries.

How about moving any more questions for me to my build Journal (in sig). So we can keep this thread focused on Dynos.

Just got back from a few baseline runs before putting more mods.
With Roto-fab CAI, and 2000km's on the clock, it did 304 whp and 309 wtq.
The funny thing is, the last car he did was a manual with CAI intake, and the power curves were almost identical until 4200, denoting a cam difference, but the low-mid must be better due to VVT if it's the same with 25 HP less, and lossy auto.
The manual car had more km 's, and peaked at 33x whp.
Mustang Dyno.
I'll post the graph later. Sure runs rich though. Between 12.0-12.50.

Here's my first Dyno with only a Corsa Catback Exhaust and Cold Air Inductions CAI. Never had a base line to work with, but for a couple of bolt-ons, I was impressed! Car has 11,700 miles and has been driven somewhere in the middle between mild and "like it was stolen."

Bone stock L99 , three pulls, about 84 degrees 74% humidity and 30.00 air pressure
He did three pulls, the first 2 were 337 +, the third one was 338.6 at the wheel. I'm dissapointed I didn't get the printout from the first 2

that's crazy how a bone stock car can get within 12 hp of mine, and one with just a cai and exhaust gets a few more hp than mine.

Well, either i have a "good" bone stock car, or as many people have pointed out, a lot depends on the dyno used.

My guy uses a dynomite dynamometer. I don't profess to know anything about all this stuff, but I'm learning.

I hear you on that point. I just leave it in the hands of the pros. All I know is that my car feels great on the road. I can have the tires squeal when going from first to second gear with the paddle shifters, so I know it has some good power compared to before my mods.

And anyways, this is the only place where we sit around and compare #'s. I never pull up to another car at a red light and pull out my dyno sheet. I just usually get to the next light a lot sooner. Sometimes when they catch up they may ask, but I just say that I have a couple mods on a stock Camaro. Unless it's another Camaro, comparing hp is not apples to apples. 350 hp isn't the same on a Challenger, Corvette, WRX, Civic, Mustang, half ton truck, etc.

Latest dyno sheet.

559 rwhp
527 torque

Loaded Mustang Dyno.

Cam, maggie with 3.4" pulley (7.5 lbs of boost), torque converter, headers blah blah blah...
22" wheels on the car at the time.
For a detailed list of mods on my car, you can look at the first post in my car journal by clicking on my sign.

I just put DRs on the car this week. I'll let you know how much difference they make next time I have the car on a dyno.

Had mine dynoed a few weeks back. 92° and not sure of the humidity. Mods were: CAI cold air intake, ADM race scoop, VMAX throttle body, SLP under drive pulley, TSP 1 7/8 304s long tubes, off road pipes, 160° t-stat, Magnaflow mufflers and Tru-x x pipe, MSD wires and a tune. Baseline was with everything except long tubes and tune.
