Good luck Dave!! I may have one last chance next Sunday at a track I've not been to yet. Unfortunately, I've not heard promising things about their track prep, so even though it looks like the air will be good, the track may not be. Looking forward to how it goes tomorrow.

I think I’m the first to break into the 10s with a stock 2017 ZL1. Only addition is a Nitto NT05R dot drag radial 315/35/20 on the stock wheels. I’ve also made multiple 11.1 passes and an 11.0 pass. Haven’t been able to replicate another 10.9x pass. Eh, whatever. Time for a twin turbo build. =]

I also saw a comment about me having an intake. That’s completely false and your first mistake was listening to Mike haha. Cold Air Inductions test fitted their prototype intake on my ZL1 at Camaro Fest in July, but removed it to make some minor tweaks to their production model. I did not have an intake, and I still don’t have an intake. Cold Air Inductions will be sending me their first production model to install and review for you guys. Hope that clears up confusion. If you want any other info, it’s all on my videos!

Sorry bud but Nittos in the rear mean not stock. Great run nonetheless but it’s not 100% stock

Well this thread asked for 10s ZL1s and I gave them a stock power level, stock weight, and stock wheels ZL1. This 51 page thread seems to be a lot of arguing and no racing. It took me multiple trips to the drag strip and multiple passes to run a 10s ET. The A10 doesn’t launch very well with the stock tune. Very hard to get right. If everyone would quit arguing and do more racing, there would be more 10s passes on here! Haha.

re: tires
Nick called that out clearly above. Nick, Thanks for the answers and the post/pics/vids. Lots of folks run at the track, but not all post up well made videos. Good stuff! |

Nice work Nick. Whether it's considered stock or not by everybody's standards, it's still the fastest time for a stock powered 6th gen ZL1 on radials. Seems like with a stock tune, going off idle works the best.
