Just got rear ended

So I guess my cherry was finally broken a little while ago. I was stopped at a red light and the driver behind me plowed into me pretty good, no injuries thankfully, and when I finally got the nerve to look at the damage I found none outside of a couple of scratches, what I did find though when I was backing into my driveway the sensors did not beep at all.

So other than the sensor issue what else should I be on the lookout for from my body shop?

Sorry there are no pics, one because it's too dark, and two because there'r really no visible damage to see on the outside.

So I just checked out GM parts house, and I'm guessing that I at very least need an energy absorber and possible an impact bar, along with some bolts and the like. Oh, and unless the reverse sensors just came loose and got unplugged I may need one of those.

I'll just leave it up to the pro's, I have a good local body shop here, so I guess I'll let them handle it.

Sorry to see this, but glad no one was seriously injured. In as much of what to look out for at the body shop.................. the person who hit you, being the owner or employed there. Seriously though..............they'll cover their bases and the damages in order they make a profit and you happy...........don't fret. Good Luck,

I will say this about GM, and the Camaro in particular, I was at a dead stop, and the gal behind me did wallop the crap out of me, and true to what we've read here from others this car can take a beating and not let you absorb the brunt of it. I mean I felt it, but am uninjured, and the car looks pretty good.

I've been in cars with friends and got rear ended at a much slower speed and they had a ton of damage. I guess I shouldn't talk since I don't know what I'll be looking at either, but thankfully nothing visible.

I did feel bad for the young gal who hit me since she was obviously sorry and started crying, but she was uninjured as well. The officer did give her a ticket for following too closely.

Thank you, that's pretty much what I intend in doing, trust the pros at what they do.

Did the rear on your car show any cosmetic damage? I'm still hoping for the best, but she is insured so I know things will get fixed. Also I have to brush up on diminished value since the car is in pristine shape (well was anyhow) and has only 12,000 miles on it. I know that this will show up on Carfax once the repairs are done.
