The auto SS should be easy 11s with a good tire.

Thanks for the numbers, Fen. I'm liking what I see.

Yep. It is all but inevitable even bone stock at some point for the hero run. Guarantee it.

Did you see the direct link?

12.3 @ 116mph for the auto

12.5 @ 115 mph for the manual.

But like I said...whats up with the braking?

Yeah, I saw it.

It's probably the run flat tires.

I guess Al O was right when he said the SS would bring similar enjoyment to the ZL1.

Been browsing the forums for quite a while now waiting for performance numbers. The auto numbers are impressive, but its still the auto. The 6-speed numbers are what I was expecting. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds for the SS. An automatic SS is wrong no matter how fast :P

It's time to get with the times. Auto simply shift faster now. It really removes user error. Yes it feels better, but Auto's are on the up and up.

How can you say that without owning an auto SS. This is a Camaro forum. We love all Camaros no matter the powertrain.

For the straight line, yes. For track days, a stick is going to give you more control, better times, and more fun. Obviously my opinion :P

(No I haven't driven this SS, I've driven a Auto '15 Stingray and the VIR, fast car but an auto is an auto and Paddle shifters don't help because you don't want to touch them after you realize how much of a delay there is).

Go check out the vettes auto times with the LT1 on the track. So far these numbers favor the auto for Camaro as well.

So now that the SS is smack in the middle of a dead heat with an M3, does the cost of 20k less then that car feel more like a bargain then it did a few weeks ago?
