Home Depot rents pickups for like $20 to avoid stuff like this ... assuming this is a single car household..

Yes they do but sometimes its excessive. Last month the wife and I bought some stuff we couldn't fit in the Explorer had to rent a truck from the depot, only thing they had left was an F-250 with a dump bed
