Billet Ignition coil mounts?

I've searched for a while, but couldn't find any.

Are there good lightweight billet coil brackets for the 72mm coils?

I want to get rid of the stock ugly and heavy coil brackets.

Something like this:

Another option I looked at is getting the Holley valve covers and eliminating the brackets altogether.

Does anyone know how they compare weight wise?

I would imagine that eliminating brackets and using the holley covers would be lighter, I have seen a lot of pics of the holley covers and they do look nice.

I have another option out there, If you notice in some of the pictures on pg 2 -3 some of the valve covers with my mounts have the unused tab's removed to clean them up, this can be done on an exchange basis to keep costs down, you could also go with or without the billet covers.

Do you have a link? I looked, but everything I found was for the LS1/SL6 ignition coils.

I like the two piece design. Looks great.
I would like to keep the coils in the stock location though.
I made my wiring harness very tight and I'd have to modify it for those brackets (same problem with the Holley covers, that's why I'm holding off on pulling the trigger). Definitely putting it on my list of possibilities though.

For the LS1/LS6, but they are the same...Because they work

Thanks for this. I finally get it.

I saw "Fits all LS engines using LS2, LS3, LS7 or similar coils with 72mm bolt spacing. Will not fit LS1/LS6 coils" on the Holley covers and the stock brackets, so I assumed the bolt spacing was different.
Looking at it now, I see it's because those coils are just more bulky and need to be spaced higher.
So misleading.

I eliminated the connectors to clean up the wiring harness. They take up a lot of space are are really ugly. Once you open up the wiring harness there is enough length to route it to the coils mounted on Holley valve covers.

OK, so I got these brackets, they came in today. They look pretty, but not even close to fitting.

The LS2/LS3/LS7 coil bolt spacing is 72mm, the LS1/LS6 coil bolt spacing is 65mm.
Not sure how they fit the valve coves because I didn't take them out of the packaging.
Expensive lesson. I hope I can find someone to buy these off of me...

So... Still on the look out for mounts.
If anyone has info, please share.

I already have something similar. I made the whole harness form scratch and the coil plugs are taped close to the injector plugs. I left some slack, but not much and I don't know if it'll be enough to reach re-located coils without modifying the harness.

Unhappy

Also, the stock valve covers weigh in at 5.7lbs with bolts and gaskets.
The Holley covers are listed at 6.8lbs with no hardware, so since I'm trying to do this to make things lighter, they are out of the equation.
