On my previous ride I liked the ET Streets better then the 555r but I need to switch to wider rear rims first.

My original plan was to go LSA because you can pick them up relatively cheap. But the more research I do the more I lean towards a Maggie Heartbeat or maybe even a Whipple. Won't be fighting IATs so much by overworking the blower.
Car came with a shitty all season 285/40/19 on the rear. The fronts were shot so I put NT555 G2s. I plan on running the NT555R2 once these rears are done. Its the new version of the 555r that is supposed to be good in the rain. Its probably less sticky than a Mickey, but in Florida, I want a tire that wont leave me sliding around in the rain. It's a compromise.

Sorry to take it off topic.

Howard is a great tuner. Redline is probably the best in town. He tuned my ESS kit with the V3 when I first bought it. It made 710 at 10psi on 93.

I'm sorry to say it, but I'm not crazy about the torque storms.

Thanks for the feedback. Tire, suspension, and engine really all go together. We have to look at big picture and goals when looking at blowers. So far my research has led me to the following for PD blowers. Feel free to correct me or improve.

LSA- 1900 good for more bolt on power, great torque down low, small size limits potential
Ported LSA- more expensive but if you already own LSA good alternative. Still small blower size but better flow
Maggie TVS2300- seems to be popular on the LS platform for great street power, not sure on hp limit
Maggie TVS2650- more potential for big power. Less efficient down low, so a little softer on the bottom
Whipple 2900- more potential then Maggie to make big power, little louder then Maggie but not much.

There are 2 magnuson 2650s, the version 1 which is the jack shaft to rear gears attached to the rotors (see magnusons 5th gen monster, that won't fit under the cowl/hood. And the 5th gen/caddy package that does fit stock applications (direct front drive to 1 rotor).

The tvs2650 package also runs way cooler iat than anything else so far as well. At least in the 5tgh gen package.

Also the whipple 2900 requires cutting of the cowl i beleive (correct me if I'm wrong)

My tuner, Redline motorsports in fort lauderdale, FL and Howard is really good with boost applications. He wants to go e85 for ease of tuning, etc... But i want to maintain street driveability.

Howard did mention that I should get a cam but that adds another $3500 to the budget because I am not comfortable doing a cam swap in this car. I built an ls and swapped it before but.. we had issues and I would rather let someone who knows what they are doing install stuff on this car.
I'll be swapping a BTR Stage 2 centri cam into my buddies 1LE over the long new years weekend. Swing by my house in Plantation if you want to see the process. I have done 4 cam swaps, 2 SC installs, 3 motor swaps so far and have had zero failures. You supply the parts and fluids, I'll do the cam for $500 labor. I'll even give it a base tune so you can drive it to Redline. Hell, I'll do the blower kit too for another $500. Shoot me a PM.

I have had 275 et street ss and 305 nitto drag radials. Above 70 degrees the tires spin but i dont need to back off in 1st gear. After they are warmed up they will hook up. This is 1st gear rolling along at about 2k rpms. Step on gas and by 3500 to 4000 it starts spinning.

Its easy to drive but 1st is useless unless you take the time to warm the tires.

Kong makes a great unit.
I upgraded my LSA unit with a C&R intercooler brick for better form function and reliability. The OE LSA bricks can be reinforced on the ends but that won't prevent the eventual risks of pinholes that will leak.

Fuel and oil will be the cheapest consumables that will ever be purchased for any combustion vehicle.

Overall, it gets difficult to control the snowballing effect that can land in the high dollar zone.
Redline has good history. It is easy to make the 6xx -7xx rwhp on boost and 93 and even easier on e85. Flex fuel has performance advantages that are being overlooked, especially against detonation due to its characteristics. The build requirements for it far outweigh the risks.

Good luck with your build.

This is where I ended up... Torqstorm blower with the smallest option 3.1 pulley. 850cc FIC injectors, and zl1 fuel pump. Still waiting on the funds necessary to purchase a treadstone intercooler and intercooler piping from Mr.Bling but this is the current setup.

Damn... That's pretty tempting to be honest. I am thinking of going cam for maximum performance gains but I don't have the cam in hand yet. Redline did quote me substantially higher for a cam swap.

They quoted me the same price as you. My localish shop ordered the BTR kit and I'm waiting to get into the shop. Hopefully I'll be in the shop in the next few weeks if I'm lucky.

I did a Whipple 2.9L on top of a full new top end: cam, pushrods, springs, trunions, etc… and full flex for 93 or E85. Car is a beast and I love it!!! There are many, many more upgrades and I still keep adding to her. I’ll never sell this car.

I was talking to Howard at Redline a few months back about putting a stage 1 BTR blower cam in my camaro. I know you weren't offering this to me, but let me know.

Also to the OP I've been running my TSP hi flow cats for about 3k miles. Car makes 11psi around 635whp. Also need more fuel now if I want to get anything else out of it. I plan to take the cats off once I'm able to run e85. Just for peace of mind.
