Cannot stop apple music playlist from auto-playing in car when connected to bluetooth
Annoying problem I cannot solve:
I dont not want to disable data use in music as this seems the only remedy to the problem of apple music starting itself in the car entirely without my permission free ringtone Last edited by Jalouis; 05-21-2021 at 05:17 AM. |

I suspect it is running in your phone all the time. My wife has her phone Bluetooth streaming whenever she tries to use her phone to do navigation or other purpose. Pretty annoying but you can stop it if you go into the music app.

I can't speak for Apple Music as I'm an Android type of person but I've run into the same issue in the past. On Android, it's a setting within the app you're using. For me, the latest culprit was Youtube Music but it's moved around. On Android there's a setting that's labeled "Allow external devices to start playback". It mentions Bluetooth and wired headsets as examples. With that enabled, whenever my phone would connect to the BT in my Camaro, it would launch Youtube Music and start playing. Disabling that setting stopped the problem. Like I said, I'm an Android type of person so I'm not sure if there's a similar setting on Apple devices so your milage may vary.
