Regarding the "Angry Birds" comment. Several people over the past year or so have made the comment to me that the 5th Gen (with the original grille) looks like it has a BIG smile. One even said it reminds her of a "Cheshire Cat Grin." Jury's still out with me, but I think the slimmed down "more angry" look of the grille might just be what is needed.

I won't be trading/getting rid of mine for one any time soon either, but I hope it does well!
I agree - I think the front grille actually looks a little meaner now with the narrow look. The only thing I didn't like is the tail lights & the hood insert could have been a little wider, otherwise I think it's an acceptable change after 4 years.

How crazy would it be if the model shown yesterday is much different than the model that will be shown today?

What I'm trying to say, is that GM showed that model, which I personally don't like, to build the hype, and surprise everyone with something that looks different than the one shown yesterday.

I know the chances of that happening are really slim, but why not?

But at this point, I still think the 2010-2013 look much better than this. The vent itself looks really tiny.

I didn't think it was that bad. I think the front looks a little meaner now, with the narrowed grill. To me, the reverse mohawk wasn't that big of a deal so I don't mind it being gone. I really like the areas around the fog lights..not quite ZL1, but different that what we have now.

They should ahve made the heat extractor a little wider or made them dual; one on each side of the hood. The tail lights are the only other thing I don't like.

I'm currently waiting on a decision from GM on my vert - If I was offered a trade for one of these, I'd probably take it..

Tail lights suck, everything else is nice. I really like what they did with the front fascia.

Did we really need another tread designed to bash this car? It's the white car in the pole thread all over again.

This car is very hot looking taillights and all. It will sell just fine. A lot of you that are complaining on hear have done things to your own camaros that look way worse than anything GM could ever put out so lighten up. This forum is starting to show it's true colors. Some much for the meaning of the word Camaro around here.

I agree to think that a massed produced car will be worth anything anytime soon is silly.
it probably appeals to those people who like the looks of imported cars like the Hyundai Genesis, Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ :-)
I prefer the muscle car looks from 2010-2013

Dusk wheels= (21" tires are twice as expensive as 20"), Hood extractor= (looks like it was pulled off of a Craftsman lawn tractor), Tail lights= (as said 5,000 times on this thread, they look like they're off of a mid-90's Acura/Honda). The front end does look pretty sleek though. Eh, we'll see today at 12:45pm.

This coming from the guy that started 36 threads about wanting to put a lift kit on his Camaro. I agree though. Wait until later today when we have some better pics and not just a 15 second clip from a talk show.

This thread gave me a hangover... back for hair of the dog.

We were told by Scott that this car would be instantly recognizable as a Camaro, it is.... no doubt it's going to be a big seller for GM.... as hard as it has to be for the Camaro team to hear all this harsh criticism.... The brand is still very relevant.

Today should prove very interesting with a lot of loyal camaro enthusiast on the ground in New York.... ready with your cameras!!

I love my 2011, I will be keeping it for many years. I'm glad I purchased it than because this refresh accomplished the almost impossible feat of making the Camaro ugly especially those lights on the back they are horrible, the Camaro now has such a sexy ass. I'm not liking that front clip either.

I so hope GM shocks us today and put out a Camaro that would make me once agin trade. But I just don't see it from the pics we have seen so far.
