street sceen splitter problem! Pictures added.

So i order my splitter from a vendor online who is not a sponsor here. Got it about a wk and half ago now. I finally got to unwrap the package and realized that the edges on the outside part is all scratched. The rest of the splitter is fine. It is black with no scratches but these parts are bad. It is like someone took a sandpaper and sanded a little on both sides.

Now i have to call and return that. Wouldnt you guys do that?? I am soooo pissed off and tired of everything i buy something only it comes damaged.. i had issues with my wheels and now this.

That is how they come. They take them out of the mold & have to sand them some. It isn't a big deal because you have to sant it anyway to paint it. I bought one and it had sand marks all over it.

I didnt know you were supposed to paint it. I thought some people have been able to install those without painting and they have no marks..

I got the Stillen version twice and they did not look like that. They were perfect no scratches at all, just bolted them on

Just get some black bumper paint from autozone and paint the damn thing. 4 bucks. Scuff the entire surface to be painted.

Mine came perfect. No sanding and I was not planning to paint mine. Contact the vendor and see what type of deal he will cut you. Sad to think this is what you get when others got them and don't have to paint them either.

That said I am sure some come out of the mold and need to be sanded. Maybe they should ask if you plan to paint it or not and send them out accordingly.

Contacted vendor and they conttacted SS for this and I got the answer I didnt want to.. All the splitter come out like this and need painting..
I was like no way some people I know have the same splitter with no marks or need to be painted.. and they were like well nothing we can do because even if we return it, the next you will get is going to be the same condition. I am soooo pissed offff....

Now, what type of primer do I need for this??? sand paper?? if I paint this flat black I do not need a clear coat right??? I am going to give it a shot to DIY. if I screw up, I might use plastidip or a shop..
