I had fun doing (I think) 3 legs of the 2006 Power Tour.

Well, gang, today is the first full day of my wife's retirement - starting a few months shy of actually turning 66. She's been getting kind of excited about it over the two weeks since she gave her notice, but we both think it'll take a little time for her to fully realize that it's more than vacation time. We're not even off the old schedule yet, although giving the cat his AM insulin shot (her job, not mine) does have something to do with that.

Have fun Diane.
Congrats to your wife Norm.

Off to work for me. I will come home, take a quick bath & eat then head back to the hospital to stay with my dad. My sister will relieve me Sat night or Sun AM early. He ripped out his IV last night & they had a heck of a time getting the bleeding stopped & getting another one going. Then he kept trying to do it again. They had to tie some mittens on him which agitated him. So sad.

Happy Friday!

Monday the Camaro went in for its after winter detailing and looks brilliant. Paint is so smooth, better then delivered from the factory. Detailer found one small needle point paint chip which was reported.

Took delivery of the 1966 TBird convertible last week. A few minor issues still to be addressed so have an appointment with another speciality garage next week. Guess that is to be expected with a 49 year old auto.

Congrats to your wife Norm.

Jan, I know what you are going through is tough. I wish you and yours all.the best.

Abaucom, you are preparing for.your cruising season, and I've prepared for the end of my season, of sorts.

We received almost 2 inches of rain today. Usually, this time of the year is our most dry.

Stayed with my dad Fri night after work until about 4:00 this evening. It wore me out. He hates the oxygen tubes & kept me awake all night putting it back when he kept pulling it off. He is having a hard time feeding himself & walking but walking is some better. We have a meeting on Monday to see what his new level of care needs to be. I'm spent physically & mentally.

Very cool!

Worked on my son's Cavalier brakes. Stops so much better now.

Very bad storm blowing through here now. Might be a rough night.

My sister called several times last night. Dad had a pretty rough night. They thought about sending him back to the hospital. I suspect he needs to be in the hospital & probably should have never been discharged. He will probably either need to go back to the hospital or to a nursing home. He is now surely in end stages of Alzheimer’s.

So sorry Jan! I know this is difficult.

Spent the weekend with some of my Hot Rod Power Tour Friends in Cherokee NC at the Gear Head Inn in nearby Whittier. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
