Call me impressed...at least upon first glance.
But there is much more to learn about this little guy. Can it maintain that kind of power for real world use, or is it more of a one time use, "hot rod" it until it blows kind of engine? Weight is impressive no matter what.

Well I still wouldn't pick a Nissan high HP car over Chevy, Ford, or Dodge!

To be frank, I haven't seen anyone else get that kind of power out of a package that small. Even if it is an experiment, Nissan has earned props on this that I can't give to Chevy or anyone else. This is the kind of innovation that pushes the industry forward.

280 ft lbs / 400hp from a 3 banger is impressive, regardless of what it will be used for.

I believe the Government is working on a prototype of their version of this technology. Word is, the contractors are being paid 10.10 an hour.

Factory racing programs exist to develop and test technology to transfer to their street cars. There is no better way to test than to go racing and run at 10/10ths for 24 hours straight. No matter how you slice it 267hp per liter is impressive and there is no telling what technology it will ultimately spawn.

wow when he stands beside it and you get some prospective on the size. Amazing what these race teams can do.. Eventually some of that trickles down to production cars.
