550hp isn't tons of power for a factory v6?

I don't get it. The GTR won both the 1/4 and the mile.

Read the whole thread. Take a close look at the times presented. If you're still confused, then i'll make ya some cliffs notes.

Sorry of the subject a bit but i'd rather take a Porsche panamera TURBO over either of those cars. 4 doors tons of room and just as fast.

My original comments were based on what I thought I knew about both of those cars. After reading that article, it's pretty obvious that both cars have changed drastically as of late.

Even with the bad (absolutely terrible actually) start for the Z06, at the end of this particular race. He would have been able to flip the bird to the GTR driver at the end of the track. And the GTR driver would have still had time to take offence before the race ended.

With a good driver, the Z06 would have been side by side by the end of the quarter. As for the last 3,690 feet of this race, after crossing the finish line I think he could have had time to pick up a burger and eat it before the GTR finished.

Plus if you pause the video just right, it seems the Z06 let up before the finish. So technically, the GTR lost....

Yes, but you could almost buy a Z06 and GT-R for the price of the Panamera Turbo (which is rather ugly looking).

Have you seen one done up black on black?
hardly ugly looking. it can carry 4 full size adults without that bad plastic interior of the gtr and Z
sorry park the 3 next to each other and see which car people admire the most. i've witnessed it at the last cars and cofee event here.
the z06 looks great as well but the true ugly ducking is the gt-r(looks like 3 other vehicles all mashed up together)

If I wanted a fast car to carry 3 other adults in comfort, I'd get a CTS-V Wagon.

I guess I didn't realize a Panamera was that fast Got anything to back that up? I'd like to see some stats.

EDIT: Found some stats.

1/4 mile

Panamera Turbo
Drag Coefficient: 0.30[23]
0- 60 mph (97 km/h): 3.3 seconds[23]
0- 100 mph (160 km/h) : 8.2 seconds [23]
1/4 mile: 11.7 seconds @ 119 mph (192 km/h) [23]
Top Speed: 188 mph (303 km/h) [23]
Braking 70 mph (110 km/h) to 0 mph (0 km/h): 159 feet (48 m) [23]

Not too shabby. Lets see how it fares on Nurburgring...

Fastest Panamera on the list
7:56 Porsche Panamera Turbo Walter Röhrl Motor Trend (07/2009)[53]
Fastest Z06 on the list.
7:22.68 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 (2012) Jim Mero 23 June 2011 General Motors conducted test,[16] base specification car with optional super-slick track DOT competition tires (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure) and Z07 package
