i have one of those usb car chargers that i plug into the port inside of the arm rest storage then i plug my phone in and leave it in there phone is loud enough to hear but honestly i wont text or talk on the phone while im driving mainly its not the brightest thing in the world to do and secondly i drive a manual car bit more focus is needed while driving anyways

I put mine in the phone holder....it's the round thing on the center console! Doesn't rattle and actually helps me hear it when I'm driving. Sometimes the exhaust note overwhelms the phone ring tone.

SmoothTalker iPhone 4 Charging Holder/Cradle

I mounted the SmoothTalker on the left side of the shifter and ran the charging wire to the cigarette lighter in the center console box only because I didn't want to cut and splice any more wires. The cradle can rotate and lock in any position for portrait and landscape viewing. I hardly use it though because I use an Otterbox Case on my iPhone and its too much of a hassle to take off and put on every time I use the phone in the mount.
