Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great winter... for the little winter we have had. So... I am shopping around for a cat-back exhaust system and I found the Borla ATAK cat-back system for a good price from LMPerformance $1220 with free shipping. I checked out some of the video reviews and it sounds pretty amazing. I was curious if anyone has installed this system and how they feel it sounds? How bad is the "drone" effect at highway cruising speeds? Some people in the exhaust forum have said there is no drone some have said it is terrible. My car is a stock 2SS. Thank you all for your information.

PM Xx_Cool_Blue_xX (Bruce) He has the ATAK. I have the S axleback and there is some drone. However, the consensus is that if you do headers, the ATAK is way too obnoxious. So you might consider that if you're leaning that way.

Thank you for the help. I will message him. I will probabaly stay away from headers as we want to upgrade either to the 2013 or 2014 ZL1 and I want to keep my sale/trade in value as high as possible, my understanding is the more aftermarket parts the more the value is impacted negatively. Really the only plans I have is to add a Cold Air Inductions CAI along with the Borla cat-back system and a skip shift elminator. If we keep the car past 36 months then perhaps a tune but thats it. Thanks again!

That statement is more true when it comes to collector cars. Aftermarket parts on your won't really decrease the trade in value of your car unless it wouldn't pass an inspection, you just don't get any money for them when you trade in. Best bet if your going to trade in the future is to do some easily reversible mods (i.e. exhaust, intake, heads, suspension and keep the stock parts) then remove your aftermarket parts before you trade and sell them.
