If its got pollen on it I will pay $3 for 5 minutes to power wash at my local car wash. As well as when it has salt on it.

If its before a car show / cars & coffee I will wash/detail it other than that on a every 2/3 week interval.

depending on how much dust or dirt gets bonded to the surface of the paint, and what weather is coming up in the next 2-3 days. try not to wash any more than twice a week, preferably once. only wipe her down with detail spray when the surface is un-bonded, light dust only. if I know it will be raining the next day or so and I don't have time to do it right I do a foam bath and rinse with the pressure washer. blow dry the sides and dry the top by hand with a waffle weave. takes about 15 minutes or so. then I put the Waffle weave in the "to be washed" basket, and don't reuse until washed. hit any water spot with spray wax if it's really obvious. my regular washes and details are pretty detailed and take a couple hours. more if I am doing interior. My maintenance wash I can knock out in about 35-40 minutes. it's basically washing the wheel wells and wheels, followed by two bucket if really bad or one bucket with grit guard if just light bonded paint. quick pooling rinse, waffle weave dry, hit the sides and wheels with a metro dryer. clean exterior glass, dress tires if need be. work pretty fast and get it done in record time.

Can you tell I am a detail junkie...LOL

do a full spring detail to every inch of the car, then refresh wax/sealant at mid summer, redo wax once a month,

I wish that i could say I was fast... it usually takes me 1 1/2 hours to wash and 3-4 to detail...

I prefer to do a full detail once a week, get her cleaned up real good. I put about 4 hours into it. But lately I've been so busy so I just had to do a regular wash this weekend.

Detail? We dont need no steenking detail! I take mine to the local sand paper car wash, wipe the interior down with a wet cloth and Windex my glass. And a couple times a summer I wax it.

Wipe mine down with Adams detail spray each night that it goes out. Wipe off bugs, get a nice clean surface as often as possible. I don't drive it in rain if I can avoid it at all. Will have to get the nose resprayed in a year or two... Damn construction rigs tossing rocks daily.

Wash her once a week including wiping down all the door jams and under the hood. I also once a week vacuum the inside and use a damp cloth to wipe all inside. About every 3 to 4 months I clean interior with cleaning spray then re-seal everything including the leather seats. And of course, every 2 months top off the wax but every 4 months clay, polish, and seal entire car. Although now that almost half the car has clear film, my polishing will go a lot faster.
