I doubt 7.0 for the GT500. I still am leaning towards either ecoboost 5.0 or supercharged 5.2 CPC.

This. Personally I'm thinking Ecoboost variant. As for Ford waiting until the Demon was released, pure fantasy. The car has been seen in spy shots for years now. I'm convinced there were some problems with development or parts supply delaying it. Originally thought it might be them waiting for the A10, but now the base Mustang is getting it there must be something else. I mean the Camaro has launched, 1LE, ZL1, and now ZL1 1LE too all before the GT500. GT350 production extended another year, this all spells unintended issues with the GT500 development. No way they planned to wait this long to unveil it.

I believe I read on the other forum, that the delay was because they initially wanted to go turbos but later switched to supercharger. But take that with a grain of salt.

I don't see the GT500 coming with the 7.0.

Either way, expect it to make to make a lot more power than the ZL1.

This sounds like baloney, I'm hearing the GT500 will get a twin screw supercharged Voodoo.

Where are you getting info that Ford is going back to pushrod engines or that they even have one out now or that they have plans to put one out? Where is this info coming from?

Is this car even going to happen? Will it be limited like the Gt350, and how will they differentiate it from the Gt350 body style? If they do the Gt350 suspension bits+wide body style+Supercharged Voodoo, then good luck for anyone out there interested in one at msrp. It will be gone with markup rather quickly. These new special edition mustangs are doing well and holding their value.

No, Ford had already developed, and had been racing the GTs engine, and they are trying to promote the EcoBoost name, racing is about selling street cars.

This ^

And the class they wanted to race in has a displacement cap at 4.0L I believe.

Very anxious to see what its packing.

Side Note Part of me really wants them to retire the GT500 name and bring back the Cobra nameplate, but doubt that happens with SVT now being ford performance
