Manual for manual, auto for auto, I think ZL1 because it will likely have been engineered with better cooling (don't want to repeat the Z06 issues).

The ZL1 has a bigger front intake area (grill) so it will breath better.

SS has been reported to put power down better than the Stingray. Not by much...but at least a little...I imagine the same will be true of the ZL1.

if its GM advertising, id say the Z06. Real world? probably will depend on the day and the dyno.

Please clarify power to the ground. Dyno? 1/4 time? Cornering?

GM doesn't advertise power at the wheel

Only a dyno actually measures how much power is being put to the ground.

The OP wants to know what we think will happen ... ie, our guesses and opinions based on past knowledge and experience.

Read the post, not just the title

Cooling will have zero impact on dyno numbers.

I see this as being over 650hp.

Don't forget, the supercharger is physically bigger than the z06. Is it because it has a larger plenum? Or is it larger than 1.7L? Most likely just the plenum, but they would get a lot of good press if they went bigger.

Corvette does not keep the Camaro down, plus there may be a zr1 coming.

I agree, however the question is not clear. Does he want a true measurement or the actual performance on a track? I see his poll asking for rwhp, but it still begs the question of "putting power down" in a practical sense.

I think what the OP is asking is which car will put useful power to the ground? Say on a drag strip or at the track.

ZL1 will put down more to the wheels stock for stock than the zo6 on the dyno. 2 things will make that happen... Tune on the ZL1 will be a bit more aggressive from the factory because GM knows how to tune them better and also IF the ZL1 will have Tri-y headers. Those 2 things make quite a bit the difference. But keep in mind... Just because it will put down more power than the C7 Zo6, does mean it will be faster. Weight, aero etc, even if the other variables like weather is perfect. I am willing to bet that ZL1 stock tires are 100 times better than the NON-ZO7 tires are when it comes to putting down power though.

I really meant dyno numbers for the LT4, since the SS put down more than the C7 with the same power plant (LT1).

I can't foresee the the ZL1 beating the Z06 down or on a track due to the aerodynamics and other aspects that the Vette has over the Camaro.

I hope that clears it up.
