I have a ticket to buy a 2014 COPO

I just received an email and phone call with an offer for me to buy a 2014 COPO of my choice to be built! They said the ticket is non transferable. I had entered on a performance GM website for this chance. I can't believe I was picked! Only problem is, I just don't have the cash sitting around.

I'm kind of flipping about this but oh well. The offer is good for 48Hrs for me to take them up on the offer..

Wow, only 69 of these are built a year.

Oh well.........

Why don't you just find someone who wants a COPO but didn't get a golden ticket? They tell you what the want, you order it, they pay for the car.

What kinds of thing can be bought via COPO codes?

Yes, GM is hard pressed to find 69 buyers again for the 3rd or 4th year in a row.

Great car, wish I could have one, i.e., afford one, but c'mon, can't drive it on the road without extensive modifications and title change (which ruins the whole "value" of the car) n then you have to insure it and keep it somewhere.

If you want to save 1/2 the price of any recent COPO, just hold off a year or so and buy aftermarket, kind of like a time share, ha.

You can buy a COPO Camaro. It's an opportunity to buy the car, that's all the ticket is basically.

I was offered one a month ago today.
It would have been cool to get it.
But I couldn't justify $120,000 on a car I can't drive on the street.

Just get a vin from a totaled Camaro and done. DMV would never know.

That doesn't work if your DMV requires a visual inspection of the VIN, and if you get a VIN from a totalled Camaro it will likely be labeled as "salvage" and you'll need the title for that VIN anyway you can't just take a VIN and expect DMV to think its yours.

This sounds like very bad advice really.
