Car Capsule?

Anyone use one for their ZL1 or otherwise?

Seems like pulling the plastic over the car and then inflating could scratch the car.

I saw one last year that was a drive in model - called the "Showcase" but according to their Facebook page they will not be available till the end of this year.

Anyone use anything else?

Are you talking about one of these things?

Why would you EVER put it in one of those things? A ZL1 is a fun car. Not fun to look at, or to pay for, or to sniff. It's a fun car to drive. Those bubble things prevent driving. You want to put a car in one of those bubbles, put something absolutely horrible to drive in there, like a Crown Vic or a Camry.

Odd and frankly not helpful posts kids.

Putting the car in the bubble, if it is a drive in one, doesn't stop it from being fun or me using it.

Thinking is:
- can't use ZL1 in cold winter and don't want mice in it
- I have five kids, lot of traffic thru garage, want to avoid silly scratches and things accidentally falling onto car.

I don't want to use a conventional car cover as it seems the car would need to be perfectly clean to avoid scratching AND it doesn't stop topogigo.

Ditto for the paint films.

So I wanted to get the showcase version of the car capsule (drive in - see link) -

But again, not available till year end.

Other alternative is this one: http://www.airchamber-carcapsule.com/ but looks like not as nice and web site is a little 1999.

I'd like to hear from someone using some style of car capsule for thoughts as to whether it makes sense to wait.

For what it's worth, I think it looks awesome.

But I don't have one. I just have a car cover from California Car Covers. I do like my cover though . . .

Only thing that I wondered about was the cost on running that fan all the time. Maybe it's not that much.

Throw in some packing peanuts and it would look like a snowglobe. Too late for this year, but I may look into one for next year.
