I have to say they make the car look like an Oscar Meyer weiner hot dog car. My kids already think I'm a freak they would not be surprised if I got one...

Well they make sense if only for the rodent issue. In cold climates, you get mice every fall - they come inside when it gets cold. Doesn't matter how tight you seal the house they get in.
And for whatever reason they love cars and tractors. So either you start it up once a week or so, or you have to figure out a way to keep the little buggers at bay I left my Avalanche outside last winter, used occasionally but not frequently - they made a nest in one of the saddle bags - no idea how they got into it but there were rags there which they ripped up and used for the nest. Luckily they didn't get inside. So the bubble makes sense and the drive in one seems to make the most sense if it is available. |

You know,.. I'm all for these "Bubbles" Maybe some day I may get one. I'm in NY car gets put away for the winter. If anybody gets one, Don't do as stated in one of the posts such as worrying about the cover marking up the car and the solution being covering the car with a blanket. The blanket will hold condensation that the air passing over the surface would normally take away. Don't cover the cars with anything. I'm nuts about my car but, some posts sometimes really take the cake. obsessive compulsive disorder can run wild in here

Ok so the winter is tough in some places and most put their cars away but if you put it in one of these condoms you can't even sit in it and make engine sounds.

I'm in the south (no need for winter storage), so I had never even heard of those until I saw this thread. It looks like a giant loaf of bread, but with a car in it. Still, if you have the money and the need, it seems like a sensible idea.

I think it's a good idea, then again our cars are stored for 7-8 months at a time. May not be the answer for everyone but its a perfect solution for us.
