Heads Up Display

So, did anyone get any actual Pictures of the HUD and/or the different modes for it? I saw a glimpse of it in one of the videos, but it looks like it's just blue like the one in my 2011 model.

Is the new one actually full color, or just the same blue color?

+1. I'm a little confused why all demos and pictures so far have shown a monochromatic HUD like the 2011 had.

Makes sense. Anything with red or yellow, for example, can distract your peripheral vision from hazard lights, stop signs, brake lights, etc. The monochrome cyan blue color in my 2011's HUD isn't really much of a visual obstruction to me.

I don't find the color HUD at all distracting in my ZL1 but maybe that is because I keep the brightness turned down.

Here's a pic of the HUD that was in my 2014 C7. Again, I do not see where color would be a distraction but it may be to some?

It's more distracting to have to look down at all the bright red colors on the in dash display than it would be to have it on the transparent HUD on the windshield. Just my opinion. I use the HUD far more than the in dash display since I got used to it. It won't stop me from buying a 2016, but it would be nice to have a full color display like a lot of the new cars that have full color HUD.

Going back to a monochromatic HUD would be, well... going back.

I have come to realize that much of what you put out there as information is just you talking out of your ass.

For everyone else, if you see his screen name/avatar/signature, pay him no attention.

I loved the HUD in my '13 SS. I was surprised as hell that the Lexus I drive now doesn't even have a HUD as an option. The blue color was fine as it was, too.

In the first picture posted there are three different colors. One slightly different blue above the horizontal bar and the MPH is a different shade as well.

It's full color. More distracting? Funny.

Will it display turn by turn nav?

I rarely use NAV but what the hell... that would be cool.

FLIR would be cool too.
