Oct 2013 Texas Mile

Anyone going to the Texas mile next weekend?

Hope to see some Camaro's there. I'm shooting for 200. If you are going, I'd be curious your goal, name, and maybe a pic of your car.

Pat

Robert is going for the 5th Gen record

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...22837&page=291

So is ADM, so you should see some really fast Camaros.

200 is a tough number to hit in these cars. If I didn't have to work that weekend I'd be there with you guys.

Pat, sweet looking car... Hope to see you there... Stop by and see us... I'm aiming pretty high, hoping to keep it together... I've been there twice already. Let me know if you have any questions...

Robert, I saw you there last oct. Looking forward to it. I do have one question...what alignment specs are you running?

I just got my new tires today and going in for alignment tomorrow after work...

I'm signed up, but the car is in the shop.

The diff finally gave up the ghost (last weekend in Indy) and rather than rush a repair with a new stock diff, I'm going full DSS 9" conversion.

So maybe next time.

I usually run there twice a year...Didn't get in for the Oct. race:(
But i will be there to support the Camaro's and the Texas mile folks.
Gonna be a lot of cars there!!!
Fastest- 163 MPH with intake and tune
Looking for 170, should be achievable with the new cam and the headers.
by the time March rolls around, I should have my ported intake and underdrive pulley installed.

Waiting on March!!!

Sounds like at least 4 of us trying to break 200 and then there's Robert trying to set a record. I hope we all get there.

You should expect about 3 passes on Saturday. 4 if your lucky. It's a good time, lots of cool cars.

I PM'd Pete, I'm still looking for the right combination of aggressive yet stable safe alignment specs for 200mph.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that... I was/am looking forward to meeting you... Maybe in March... With your influence, can you say a prayer for all in attendance and traveling to and from...

It's a Camaro...

That was my main concern, since I'm set up for drag racing and don't even have a front sway. I'd be interested in hearing about how people address the concerns.

As mentioned, Pete does my alignment specs, and my car to date has felt as stable as a rock... been 208 but couldn't finish... That was at the 3/4 mile mark... popped the motor...

Look me up and I have a few things that will help you eek out a couple of mph and add some stability... Very easy stuff...
