Hood!

Ok, I'm looking to blow some deployment/tax return money.

Does anybody have this hood?
http://www.phastekperformance.com/Su...style-hood.htm

If so, how bad does your engine get dirty? Or water leak in from the extractors?

Also looking at this one
http://www.phastekperformance.com/Su...hood-21022.htm

Or this one
http://www.phastekperformance.com/Su...style-hood.htm
Only difference in this one is that the cowl is raised a little bit.

Anyone with one of these last two hoods? How do you like it?

Looking to go on a RJT '10 SS, opinion/comments from the peanut gallery are welcome. Placing the order on Monday!

Suncoast hoods are nice ,but the air scoop is too far forward for my tastes. Makes it look unbalanced. I vote for the Mpd-1 hood, RK sport, or the sinister hood. The air scoops are further back from the nose of the car. But its all about what you like being its your baby! BTW-Thanks for your service and welcome back from deployment.

Thanks, those are nice hoods too, but I don't like the bend in the intake. I want mine to go straight if I got one of those. I really like the suncoast ZL1 heat extractor, but don't like that when it rains or when I wash my car the engine is going to get all wet although it doesn't rain too often in SoCal.

I went with Revolution. I like how far back the cowl is.

Welcome back from deployment! I think the hoods you picked out look sorta GT500-ish at the scoop, except the ZL1. But, If those are your preferences, good luck bro! Hope to see you around OSide sometime.

FORGOT ABOUT THE REVOLUTON HOOD , ITS A SWEET ONE TOO! ITS IN THE RUNNING FOR MY OWN RIDE.
I LIKE THE NICKY HOOD BUT WOULD LIKE IT BETTER WITH OUT THAT RAISED AREA LEADING INTO THE COWL. GIVES IT A BATMAN VIBE. THE NICKEY STINGER 2 VERSION IS MORE TO MY LIKING.

That is what I have on my car. Looks great and quality is at it's best. I get lots of compliments. With the functional ram air with my G5CR CAI it's doing the job very well. This hood his made by ACS Composite technology and it use a single line fiberlass that does'nt need a Gel Coat finish....Fit's is 100% and fits very well.
