Car wash hose recommendations
Positive thinking now after we just got 2 1/2 feet of snow dumped on us, but I am looking for a decent car wash hose(50ft). The one I currently have is a few years old and is just not cutting it as it kinks every time I use it.
I know there is the Adams one out there, but was hoping there was one out there for less money.

I just got the Adams 75 foot hose kit that comes w/ quick disconnect attachments, shut off valve, and heavy duty nozzle. This hose kit is legit. It's a bit pricy, but concidering the commercial grade construction of all the parts and hose, and concidering it should last quite a long time I highly recommend. Being in Wisconsin, we also have been dumped on by snow so I won't be able to test the quality until this spring.

My ears were burning.
As Larz mentioned, our hoses, as well as all the accessories are commercial-grade construction that will last you a VERY LONG time. Gone will be the days of buying a new hose from the local bog-box hardware store every year or two for $40 a pop. A high-quality hose is an invaluable tool, and can be viewed as an investment rather than an expense. Adam's Commercial Grade Car Wash Hoses |

Adam's 3/4'' 50ft Hose:
Burst Limit 200psi Commercial grade brass fittings Price $90 Goodyear 5/8'' 50ft hose from Home Depot: Burst limit 400psi Commercial grade brass fittings Price $30 So you could pay 3x more for a less durable hose if you'd like. I know what I'd do. You guys don't ALWAYS have to drink the Kool-Aid.

I agree with Matt. Some times you just don't have throw all in on the Adams extras. Love the products but gotta keep it real on the rest of the supplies.

Patented swivtech fittings on both ends, 1/8" larger OD, and a lifetime warranty have value guys... maybe not to everyone, but its not like we're tossing pricing out there based on nothing.
PRICE is what you pay. VALUE is what you get for your money. There is a difference. |

Dylan, I don't want to speak for Matt but there are certain supplies that I can't see spending that premium dollar on when something at half or even 3 times cheaper can get me the same results. Hoses, nozzles, buckets for me fall into this category. Also, I don't think it's a slam as much of a PSA for those that don't know.
We just want share what we've experienced with the forum.

The lifetime warranty does have value for sure. No arguing that.
I just don't know if that's enough value to justify 3x the price for me. The other stuff you mentioned is useless to me. I've never had trouble getting enough water through a 5/8" hose, nor had any trouble with any non-patented fittings. I'm sure for some it will be worth it, just not me. Lowes and Home Depot usually have a 5/8" 50+ foot non-kinking hose with a lifetime warranty. The catch is you need to keep the receipt and the packaging. I've had a couple of these hoses for a good number of years.
