Looking for headers for my 2010 camaro

Hey guys, I've been looking at headers to buy and there's alot to choose from. I was wondering what the difference in all the brand's are. And also i was looking for headers that made my exhaust have a louder deep tone ,not a a high rasp.. please let me know.
Thanks guys

Do you plan on doing other mods and if so what. Makes a difference on what you buy.
I have a set of SLP 1 3/4 headers, cats and complete 3" system that fit and sounded great on my car when it was pretty much stock (cold air intake) But I went bigger when I added a supercharger. Smaller diameter is better for low and midrange and larger is better for top end power but you sacrifice low end. I have my entire set up for sale and i'm in SO NH if you are interested PM me.

Headers have nothing to do with rasp or deep tone... that would be the muffler system, but with deep tone you also get drone so beware with that choice.

American Racing Headers and Kooks are the leaders. Then Stainless Works, Texas Speed and others are good as well.

The collector design is where the magic happens. Generally speaking you get what you pay for.

304 stainless, if it does not say this explicitly, keep looking.

1 7/8 is optimum likely.

Your stock exhaust > cat back is OK, no gains going to 3"

Long tube makes power....

On a budget, Texas Speed or Speed Engineering??

Want a quality collector, then ARH, BBK, Kooks, Bassani, Borla to name a few

Go to the V6 bolt on/exhaust section and do some reading

There's a lot to look for until you're looking for a V6 and then the selection slims down drastically compared to V8's. I've heard good things about BBK for long tube headers on a V6. I had their V8 shorty headers for a while and they were holding up nicely so I'd imagine that their V6 long tubes would hold up similarly.

If you don't want rasp you're going to need to spring for high flow cats. Catless midpipes tend to have more rasp compared to their catted counterparts.

Given the myriad of choices, TSP seems to me to be the best value. I have ARH but only because they were already on the car... I wish that My collectors had better ground clearance and I am only lowered 1" - I hear that the Doug Thorley Tri-Y have the best collector clearance (ie sit up tight against the chassis) but they are mid $700....FWIW

V6 bud.. I don't think they have a ton of options like we do!
