Anyone ever just sit and stare?
Figured I would ask so I can make a decision on if I've lost my mind.
But anyone ever just sit in the garage and stare at "it"? No I don't mean the kind of staring that makes single mothers nervous at Starbucks... I'm talking a good ole day off maybe a few beers or a doobie... and you find yourself staring at your camaro... For me it's a moment that speaks high volume, when I was a kid I dreamed about it. As an adult I purchased one. Talk about a long term goal huh lol Today was that day again for me. My day off. Work has been non stop lately. I shouldn't complain bough since...I have a camaro! (Who cares if the family won't eat...who cares if we run out of toilet paper...who cares if your neighbors wife looks like a combination of Roseanne Barr and Danny devito mated while on energy drinks....) Finally got to sit down and start walking around the garage... finding every single speck ,dent or dirt...taking note and moving on... When there it was...laying on the bench screaming "here vin!! You know you want to induce that oh shit feeling half way through and install this here front facing camera" So I started to look for mounting places. When I noticed the bottom grill might be perfect... I just have to get my hands inside to see what I'm working with... You see... I'm that guy...the dude that can't stand bugs and spiders... it's the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning..."are the bugs going to come for me today?.." Girlfriends have come and gone and I've heard "really?" Right after it being official that a spider has been spotted .... Just like a fat kid that's found ants in his fanny pack before ...I proceeded, but with caution... I decided that I learned from prom Night.... if I was going in this time...It wouldn't be in the dark... So I slowly took my iPhone out of my pocket while pretending my 6"4 310lbs ass would fit under the front end... that at this point was as close to my face as my non speaking barber when leaning in... (sometimes I wonder if my barber is a barber at all..) It was like all them movies about being trapped in a cave that we have all watched a dozen times around 2am on hbo cause we were sitting in the garage too long and the remote is no where near us...any we can't get up type status... I fired up my trust iPhone that had been there with me for years and years...every heart felt family moment grandma couldn't make it to...captured on this over priced dick pic selfie machine named after a fruit and powered by the nations fastest network... It was me...my iPhone...my camaro...and https://youtu.be/mOTpX04Lb-k I am Currently writing this from inside my closet..I haven't seen my camaro in a few hours...yes....yes.... "it's" still there Currently thinking about have front face Camera installed...just so I can then come back to post a video with the title: "No way! How did that get in there!!??" Yes... I am currently having some health issues, and haven't been able to drive my Camaro for several weeks. Now, not able to even drive. I even had to miss driving her to have the oil changed.
I walk thru the garage, and *SIGH*, as I hear her screaming at me to taker her out for a spin, or even back her out of the garage to see daylight. Yes, I do walk out to the garage and just look at her, I'll even get in her, sit in the comfy Recaro's and check emails in the dark... sad, but it's comfortable and reminds me of why I own her. Soon... soon... we will take to the streets again, and we'll have fun.

Took cover off, put some Metallica on the radio, folding chair, cigar and cocktail. It was a nice Saturday. Plus installed my Rotofab intake also.

See this is what I mean!! "Camaro: it's more then just a car, it's an experience" I could do market this to chevy. Perfect idea in mind for a commercial too hahaha (I do video editing for work lol)

When I put the Heat extractor on I park it by the front door so I could see it every time I walked by. Instead of on side of house in the carport.

No doobie as the Camaro would go bye bye after they raided my house. Now Doobie Brothers - yes!!
I admit, after almost 72 months I still stare at it like I did on Day 1: June 1st, 2011. Still can't believe it's mine - no matter what KBB and NADA say how it's "worth" less. It's worth no less to me. And if I never sell it won't matter, will it? No heirs, so who cares! :-) Looking forward to some nice drives this spring, summer, and fall. - OV

I do that all the time! Stare at her, and even sit in the seats if I'm talking in the phone or watching videos. Never gonna get rid of her! Still got lots to do haha

Camaro Gen 5 is a work of art, every angle. No wonder we look so much at ours and others. Challengers are nice and Mustangs have had their better days, but Camaro looks so daring and captivating.
Had to snap this angle.. |
