Gurgle/Fluid like sound from the passenger side
2010 SS2- Has anyone noticed a gurgle/fluid like sound from the passenger side when accelerating past 2,000 RPM? You would have to listen for it with the radio low to hear it, but on some occasions the sound isn't present. With research I have been trying to find, I found out that it could be a valve on the heater core. I tried driving it with the radio off, the heater off, and the a/c on, but the sound is still present. I took it into the dealer and the service manager heard the sound and brushed it off as a normal non-threatening issue. However with the past experiences I have read in other forums, I can't take full trust into what they said. So far the sound hasn't resonated louder, or happen at a constant, just when I accelerate past 2,000RPM. I can't say that it is getter worse, but any info. or previous threads regarding this noise would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, definitely sounds like heater core area and as the dealer said may not be a big deal. The good thing is you have it documented with them in case it gets worse or an issue pops up.

Just the day before yesterday, I was driving my truck and it started running hot. To make a long story short, the damn thing had hardly any water in the radiator. After topping it off I had that same sound for about five min after starting it up. It was an air pocket and after a while the sound went away, I topped off again and no issues since. Check your fluid lately?

I have been keeping up on the fluids and I do have an appointment for an oil change on Sunday. I will see if they could possibly bleed the lines to rule out any air in the lines.

Coolant doesn't just disappear. Did you check for a head gasket leak? Or a is your heater core leaking?

No leaks, levels are fine. Or was that a question to the previous post with the truck?

There was a TSB for that gurgle - I had that fixed. I can't remember the details. Search and I'm sure you'll find a lot. I think it was the AC condenser line or something like that behind the glove box.

Same here. I took mine for the tsb and seems like the tech did something with the line. I don't quite remember.
