LT4 supercharged?
You really think they are going to drop this motor in the 6th gen zl1? I will be first inline to order one at my local dealer if so..

I doubt it. It'll be reserved for the Corvette I'd think. At least for a year or two.

They would continue to use the LSA?

Well there's little doubt the 2017 50th anniversary will not be a promising vehicle. I'm expecting them to put some massive HP in this so an LT-4 is not wishful thinking.

If they do a ZL1 or equivalent....I don't see chevy not throwing a SC on the same platform, LT1. Don't see how anything else makes sense.
Assuming the LT1 Is going in SS. So yes...LT4. |

I bet we see some version of the LT4, just most likely not one with all 650 hp/lb ft.

I know it's been stated many times, but remind me of the potential weight loss on the 6th Gen again.
I think a new ZL1 with >580 HP /556 Lb-ft, and 3820 weight is.... ok, some math... 5th Gen 580/4120 gives power to weight of .141 6th Gen 600/3820 (assumption) gives power to weight of .157, a 12% increase. 625 HP = .164 P to W, a 16% increase 640 HP = .168 P to W, a 19% increase Someone check my math - i rounded up. Anyway, don't know if we are gonna get 300lb diet or not, but a 15% increase should suffice. |

I believe with the proposed rear engine Zora Corvette ZR1 coming soon with a lot more hp than the '15 Z06's 650 rating, it should be safe to think that the LT4's hp rating when installed in the 6th gen will not be detuned for any reasons.

I don't see the LT4 Z06 as the end of the Corvette story.

We haven't seen any mid engine mules running around and, with GM never having built a production mid engine car, I'm sure they would have to do a lot of testing. Until I see a mid engine Corvette Zora ZR1 on stage I won't believe it. Same goes for a Camaro with the full potential of the LT4, as it sits now.
