NPP functionality retrofit?

Hi, everyone

I have a third-party vacuum-controlled exhaust with a small remote that controls the solenoid for the valve. I want to make the "we've got NPP at home" kind of thing and tie it to the Sport mode (I've got a V6 so no Track mode for me). Is there a way to tap into a signal from the ECU (or BCM?) that tells whether the car is in the Sport mode? The rest of the job is pretty simple, I just need something to tap into

If anyone knows how to retrofit the NPP that would be even better - this way I will replace the valve with the electronically controlled one and get my signal from the valve solenoid (I will also need it for the AirLift system to change presets)

Don’t think anyone’s tapped into the BCM like you’re saying, someone on the Corvette forums was making a retrofit for the OEM NPP but they unfortunately stopped posting.

Best option imo is just adding up switches for everything

Thanks for weighting in on the subject. Yeah, I thought of that too. Main issue still is that I have a basic 7’’ head unit and to control that exhaust I need a 8”. Still maybe there’s someone dedicated enough that did it)

I'd try to upgrade to the 8" unit first (https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/pr...nt-cluster-kit) and ask WAMS what else needs to be added to have NPP switching integrated into the HMI.

Thanks, but your link leads to the Uplevel Instrument Cluster and I'm already doing this swap I meant I need the 8" head unit instead of 7" and I think nobody has ever done a successful swap to this day

Aww, that just proves I shouldn't post before having coffee, sorry about that .

I'd still contact them and ask about feasibility, because even if you source a 8" screen, you'll need custom programming and potentially a replacement HMI module.

No worries, it’s okay) as for the cluster - yeah, I will be doing that with a guy here in Kyiv. Never heard of the HMI replacement together with the gauge cluster, though. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll do more digging on the subject - I got till the end of the week, my beauty is getting a paint job and a FL rear bumper replacement done
