Brand New Camaro Transmission Issue

We special ordered a brand new 2023 Camaro SS with the manual transmission. Customer signs papers, drives off, and has major problems within a mile of leaving dealership. When stepping on the gas hard going past 4000 rpm to vehicle just throws the shifter out of gear and a message about the clutch and decreased engine power briefly flashes on the dash. We can duplicate it every time. Any thoughts on why this is happening. Obviously the customer is not happy

Loose reluctor for vehicle speed sensor:

I don't exactly know why it would pop out of gear by itself.

break in

Exceeding 4000 RPM should be avoided within the 1st 500 miles on a new SS per the Camaro break-in guidelines.

Still that would not cause this issue.

Yep, I take it as an acknowledgement for the quality of our (not mine- I ain't got a clue!) quality of information and shows this is a dealer that will listen and readily accepts the input- which is a pretty rare thing.

Probably something out of adjustment. Never heard anything going wrong with manuals.

Anecdotes are entertaining, while paling in comparison to to a dealer's access to Chevy technical support services. Contact them.

Take it back to the dealership and let them figure it out. It’s a new Camaro and that’s what the warranty is for.

There's no mechanism inside a T6060 that would enable it to actively take the transmission out of gear, nor should there be. That's dangerous. Same goes for the clutch: there is no way for the car to actively move the clutch without the driver's input.
Something is wrong with that transmission internally. It's not a synchro, as that would come into play when shifting into a gear but has nothing to do with it staying in gear. It almost sounds like one of the gears has the teeth cut wrong. Most likely, they just need to replace the transmission.
