So if my dealer is correct, all Canadian camaro's with the RS package do NOT come with body matched painted shark fins, and he insisted that if I read somewhere that they do come painted that it must be an US thing. I could have sworn I read somewhere on the chevrolet.ca site that the RS package did include painted shark fins, but after looking again today it says painted roof ditch molding (wtf is that?)

Basically I have given in that the dealer is right now, after I went down there today and there were 4 new 2011 2SS/RS with black fins. I am just wondering WHY!! Its so fugly! Why do the American bound cars have painted fins and not the Canadian ones... I mean they all come from the same plant...

Cars don't come with the Shark Fin painted, So remove them.

Doesn't the 45th Anniversary Edition come with a painted antenna - I believe I read that somewhere.

OP. I read that RS comes with body colored shark fins too! Dunno why they don't... You could always do the swap with Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet. It's 139.99 with the core exchange, so shipping for you would probably make it around 160. Just a thought if you really want it done well. They use a 3-layer paint process if I remember correctly.

I thought the 2012 RS package included a painted sharkfin (as some of the other RS package stuff is now standard)

Becky D. took great care of me with painted fin. Mod GTAHVIT has a real time saver DYI. Just do a quick search. It is a PITA but you don't have to remove HL-just lower it and have plenty of patience. (flexibilty also helps-LOL). Lower the back seat and you gain a couple more inches for your head to see above the liner.

I like the black shark fin. Makes for a nice contrast and goes with my black shark gills.

the ONLY 2010 or 2011 Camaro that CAME with a body colored shark Fin are the INDY PACE CARS. Thats it.

Why they didn't come that way from the factory FROM THE BEGINNING is beyond me! GM has been putting body colored shark fins on Caddy's since 2009!

maybe you guys are thinking of the roof ditch molding.

they are black on non rs models,

and body color painted on rs

The verts also come with painted fins, so GM can get them painted if they want.
