17" wheels on a 2013 SS
Definitely should've researched more but alas i jumped the gun. bought a set of 315/35R/17 NT05's from a friend today without looking at wheel options first... would i be okay running a 17x9.5 c6 z06 replica or would it not clear the rear brembo's?

Should be good. Race Stars are 17x9.5s and they clear fine.

Like 2010_Camaro said should be ok However it could be an issue if Car lowered. Car lowered 1 inch here. Used BMR Adjustable lower Arms. Forgestar Drag Version F14 17x10 (M&H 325/45) would not clear OEM Arms. Would have seriously had to notch the hell out of them to even try to get them to fit and not rub under load.

Isn't a 9.5" a little narrow for a 315? People talk about putting 305's on their stock 20x9s and 50% of the comments are how that's a bad choice, the tire will bulge the center, etc. I would think you'd want a minimum of a 17x10.5 to make that tire lay flat on the ground. If you're already having to go rim shopping might as well make sure you get ones that are gonna work good for the rubber you've got.

I could be wrong, but a 315/35R17 is a little short of a tire for your car isn’t it? That’s about 3 inches shorter than the factory tire isn’t it?

It's a 25.7 or so. Definitely gonna throw the ABS lights on with stock wheels up front. With stock rear gears that'll give a nice boost in final drive ratio and get you a little more RPM through the traps. I guess we'd need to know the whole combo to really be able to say if that's a good tire for your setup or not.

I think I have a 315/35-20 on mine which equals 28.7 tall.
Oe is 275/40-20 which equals 28.7 tall. 315/35-17 equals 25.7 tall |

315/35/17 is under 26 inches tall while the stock tire diameter is 28.7 inches. If you keep the stock tires up front you will get ABS, stabilitrak, and all sorts of lights on your dash. You can do the fuse pull so that you can run it with no issues though. Racestar makes a 17x10.5 that fit on the rears with only having to tie back the e-brake cables. My car is lowered 1.4 inches with those wheels and same tires also, sits very low in the back but its just a track setup. Also the final gear ratio with the smaller tires is around 3.80 vs the M6 stock 3.45 gears.

these are used tires that a friend of mine was getting rid of. I'm gonna get a 305 50 17 or so shortly. just got these to mess around with. they've got a little life left in them so they're a good burnout candidate... hahaha
