We're paying $92 monthly on the 2014 2SS with a $250 deductible. Conversely I'm only paying $50 monthly on my 2012 CC Silverado 6.2L with the same deductible.

$1012/year. Full coverage w/$500 deduc. I'm 33, 1 (minor) speeding ticket 2 1/2 years ago. Apparently speeding tickets for less than 19MPH over the speed limit are considered minor and only on your record for 3 years. So I am hoping mine goes down come October when I renew. I received quotes for $2000+.. some of these insurance companies are high (on drugs) and that's exactly what I told them. GEICO was the only other place that was comparable. I believe they wanted $1022/year. State Farm, AllState, esurance, Liberty Mutual, Amica they were all expensive.
I see some guys posting $350/year. That's insane. It must be where they live. Unless they don't have full coverage.

I pay 91 dollars a month for full coverage on 2 cars - im 36 though.
when I was 22, I had a dodge stealth. I paid 300 a month on the car for insurance, and 374 for the payment. my driving record was less than stellar as you can imagine.

I was thinking of trading my LS for a SS earlier this year: I called my insurance company and it would cost me $10 LESS to insure a SS...I was pissed when I found out!

I pay 275 a month. Liberty Mutual. Not a ticket or accident in sight been driving forever but the rates are all about location these days. New York has 9 million people in the city and another 10 million in the north, east and west and that ups the chances of something happening. More risk more money even if you are a great driver. At least that's how they are treating me.
I actually just switched because my Gieco payments were over 400 month because I didn't have previous car insurance. Once I had it, I made the switch the next month. Cut my payment in half. Still pretty high $3,200 for the year. I'll switch again if I find a better deal but I just got busted for speeding. Opps. |
